Mursi supporters defy the army and march on the military intelligence building

Thousands of supporters of the ousted Islamist president Mohamed Mursi have defied an army warning and marched on a military facility in Cairo. They set off from the Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque in northern Cairo, where they have been manning a vigil to demand Mursi’s reinstatement. The protesters who have accused the military of mounting a coup in removing Mursi from power, risk provoking a new confrontation with the army after dozens were shot dead at the weekend.
