Government to address Out of stock medicines issue

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has said that his government is working to address the problem of out-of-stock medicines. He revealed this at a meeting with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry this morning in his office at Valletta. One of the measures to be taken is by revamping the procurement system which has been in operation so far. The Prime Minister insisted that the government was committed to finding an end to this problem which was wasting a lot of taxpayers’ money. During the meeting Dr Muscat assured everyone that his government intends by all means to keep free healthcare and free medicines. He added that the government will be working to address this issue of out-of-stock medicines specifically for the consumer to be served in a much better and organised way.
