Church is not responsible for ex Priests’ abuse – Curia

The Curia today replied in writing in court in reaction to the civil lawsuit which was filed by the men that were sexually abused more than two decades ago namely by by Lawrence Grech, Joseph Magro, Leonard Camilleri, Angelo Spiteri David Cassar, Phillip Cauchi, Noel Dimech,, Raymond Azzopardi, Charles Falzon,  and Joseph Mangion. In its reply the local Church said that it could not be held responsible for the actions of ex Priests Scerri and Pulis. Although the Church had pastoral responsibilities, it insisted that it did not have responsibility for personal actions of its members which exposed them to criminal or civil actions.
