Early today, another 115 migrants made it to Maltese shores after being rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta.
This is the second group of migrants in under 24 hours, who were rescued, following an arrival of 81 migrants during the previous day.
The migrants were rescued some 90 nautical miles off the southern part of Malta, after a distress call had been launched.
The migrants were transferred on board the tug boat Lega Nord.
Among the latest group of rescued migrants are 13 women.
