Surprise raid at Corradino yields no drugs but a rich find of electronics

Surprise inspections at Corradino Correctional facility yielded a rich find of electronics. Home Affairs ministry issued a statement saying that surpries random inspectiosn were being carried out at the CCF to step up the fight against the use of drugs in prison. The surprise inspection was carried out by the Director of Prisons and a team of wardens, Police Officers from the Special Response team, the Dog section and the drug squad. Making a thorough search of Division 2 and in the CCF educational facility, the officers foud two mobile phones, a computer hard disk, a sim card, an internet key and a pen-drive, all electronic equipment which is prohibited inside the cells. All contacts outside the cells by prisoners has to be monitored to prevent the inmates from running their empires from behind bars. Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia thanked the Prison Administration for thaking the matter in hand and for following faithfully his directions for reform.
