‘Weekend emergency service to be withdrawn from St. James Capua’ – Government

Emergency Services offered at St. James Capua, in Sliema and Zabbar during weekends are set to be withdrawn by May 3, announced Ministry for Health. The Ministry said that the said services had been introduced, in a bid to relieve the burden off the emergency department at Mater Dei. Statistical analysis, showed that such a service was not viable for the Health Ministry, said the latter. The Ministry said that the Health Centres in Mosta, Paola and Floriana are open all day long during weekends.
