People to be arraigned over alleged irregularities in the civil service examinations – Minister Bartolo

The Minister for Education and Employment, Evarist Bartolo announced that several people in connection with the exams department will be taken to court following irregularities in civil servant examinations, held last January, were confirmed. Minister Bartolo said that he will not delve into police investigation, as facts need to be confirmed. Minister Bartolo said that during his investigation people told him that examiners were under pressure to change marks, where in one instance an order was issued so that two papers will have their marks increased by 26 marks. Minister Bartolo did not confirm how many people will be taken to court on this case.  He announced though that the results of this public exam will be issued in the coming days, with the option for revision of paper for those who sat for such exam.
