Fifteen billboards awaiting removal

Fifteen billboards are listed by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority as awaiting Direct Action while two were removed by the owner, albeit listed as 'unknown' in the MEPA List. Replying to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP George Pullicino, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that these are the enforcement orders issued on billboards after the March election. All the billboards, save one, are on government land and ten of the fifteen have an owner listed as 'unknown'. One Billboard had no advertiser using the space while the other advertisers range from Insurance to lingerie and bathrooms.
