Ghaxaq man injured in petard explosion

A man from Ghaxaq, aged 69, suffered serious injuries following a petard explosion in Wenzu Dalli street, Ghaxaq, at around 12:15p.m. Reportedly, the petard exploded in the side street. The man was soon after rushed to hospital where he was found to be suffering from serious injuries, yet non-life threatening.
