Lawyer Edward Gatt, who is representing Enemalta’s former financial controller Tarcisio Mifsud, said that  George Farrugia, only came up with his allegations after his compnay lost the contracts. This came to light this morning as the case over the oil scandal continued in court. Dr Gatt warned and insisted that Mr Farrugia  had been given a Presidential Pardon on condition that he told the truth so he insisted that Mr Farrugia sticks to the truth. Mr Farrrugia said he used to pay Mr Mallia after he was paid by Total. He would make the payment at Mr Mallia’s office or home. The deal he had with Mr Mallia was to pay him half what he received from Total. The case continues. Lawyers Dr Franco Debono and Dr Siegdfried Borg Cole are appearing for George Farrugia.
