Government signs agreement for bridge feasibility study

The Government of Malta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Communications Construction Company Limited (International) to conduct a detailed feasibility study on the possibility of the construction of a bridge between Malta and Gozo. This is a fortune 50 company with an operating revenue of $46 billion and specialises in the construction of ports, waterways, roads and bridges. It also ranked as the most environmentally responsible company in China. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat led the delegation on behalf of Malta and he was accompanied by Ministers Joe Mizzi, George Vella, Chris Cardona and Anton Refalo while Deputy PM Louis Grech signed for Malta.
