Two women arrested after theft from Birkirkara shop

Two female youths were arrested earlier today following an alleged robbery in an establishment in Naxxar Road, Birkirkara. The girls aged 17 and 22 respectively both residing in Qormi were arrested shortly after they committed the crime by members of the Rapid Intervention Unit. The Police said that the person who reported the crime kept on following the two persons till the arrival of the police. In the meantime another 18 year old female was arrested in connection with yesterday's attempt of theft of a bag from a vehicle in Marsa. She will be charged as an accomplice of the man that had robbed the bag and was later arrested.
