The majority of complaints against ARRIVA, 25%, involved time keeping, Minister for Transport, Joe Mizzi said today.
During a press conference held following a consultation period on the public's perceived shortcomings of the public transport. Minister Mizzi explained that some 2,225 persons voiced their complaints or suggestions with regards to public transport.
Highlighting the results, Minister Mizzi said that 2,225 submissions were made giving a total of 3,500 suggestions or complaints. These were classified as follows:
25% on time-keeping and capacity
23% on routes
13% on frequency of service
17% on drivers' behaviour, condition and type of buses and information and customer care
11% on bus stops and shelters
11% miscellaneous issues
With regards to the issues relating to timekeeping, these were, in their vast majority related to missed trips or lack of adherence to the published schedule.
